SRI LANKA MUSLIM ASSOCIATION CALIFORNIA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in need.

The purpose of this program is to:

Educate our community on Janaza costs and processes.
Gain your support to move forward and secure your rising future burial cost.
Encourage all muslims families to join the program to assist others to have the same security.

How It Benefits You:

It benefits you by providing every participant, In Sha’a Allah, to receive a basic islamic burial or receive its equivalent if and when they pass away, in Southern California, outside of Southern California, or overseas.

The Following Services Will Be Paid For All Participating Members By Icsb:

Burial Plot
Transportation Fee To Mortuary
Refrigeration & Storage Costs (Max. 48 Hrs.)
Minimum Mortuary Service & Staff Charges
Open/Close Grave
Open Bottom Grave Costs
Concrete Installation Around & Over Grave
Kaffan And All Materials

The Following Cost Is Not Included In The Program And Will Be The Responsibility Of The Surviving Family Members:

Cost of Imam Services.
Death Certificate, Permits, Fees And Taxes.
Premises For Religious Services Including Use Of Chapel Based On Cemetery.
Transportation Costs Over 100 Miles Radius.
Casket If Required By The Cemetery.
Tomb Stones Or Identifying Tablets.
Tips, Gratuity And Taxes.
Cost For Religious Recitation, Services And Cultural Customs.
Cost Of Food And Beverages And It’s Service Or Any Other Benefits Not Mentioned Above.
Refrigeration & Storage Costs (More Than 48 Hrs).

Other Than Natural Causes:

If the person passes away in an accident or due to any reason other than the natural causes, immediately call 911.

Once you have called, this is what you will be expected to do:

Complete Paperwork:

Janaza fund funeral committee will guide family members through the burial process if it occurs in Southern California and do our best to connect you with a local contact if it occurs outside of California. A Janaza fund funeral committee member will help the family go over the paperwork to be filled.

Mortuary Service:

Once the paperwork is filled, the preparations will begin that include the mortuary services until the time of burial.

Burial:

Includes the entire burial services that are a part of this Janaza program.

Cemetery Arrangements:

All arrangements covered by the program will be included.

One Simple Program

$35.00 per month per person
Exceptions May Apply Under Special Circumstances
A Maximum 30 Day Grace Period On Late Payment Applies.

Partial Benefits:

Will be provided to donor(s) who are actively and continuously donating towards the Janaza fund program and have not satisfied the 36 month wait period and continues to donate without lapse. The term partial benefits means, the Janaza fund program agrees to reimburse the donor/mortuary/cemetery at time of death of one it’s donor(s) the donation(s) made to date. A maximum 30 day grace period to make good on donations apply on all late payments. If donation is made on or after the 31st day, the donor(s) will be subject to a new 36 month grace period. No exceptions.

Full Benefits:

Will be provided to donor(s) who are actively and continuously donating towards the Janaza fund program and have satisfied the 36 month wait period and continue to donate without lapse. The term full benefits means, the negotiated or agreed upon cost per the Janaza fund program schedule and specific line item burial costs that the Janaza fund program agrees to reimburse the donor/mortuary/cemetery at time of death of one its donor(s). A maximum 30 day grace period to make good on donations applies on all late payments. If donation is made on or after the 31st day, the donor(s) will be subject to a new 36 month grace period. No exceptions.
